Managing Donations
Learn how to record donations, issue digital receipts, and maintain a transparent history of all contributions to your mosque.
1Adding a Donation
Navigate to Financials > Donationsand click the "Add Donation" button. You will need to fill in:
- Donor Name: Use "Anonymous" if the donor prefers privacy.
- Amount: The exact amount received.
- Fund: Select the fund this donation belongs to (e.g., Sadqa, Zakat).
- Date: The date the money was received.
2Issuing Receipts
MasjidFlow automatically generates a unique receipt for every donation. You can share these receipts in multiple ways:
Download a professional PDF receipt to print or email.
Send the receipt link directly to the donor's WhatsApp.
3Donor History
Easily track how much a specific donor has contributed over the year. This is particularly useful for providing end-of-year tax statements or acknowledging frequent contributors.
"Use the search bar in the Donations list to filter by name or date range."
Best Practices
- •Record donations immediately to avoid calculation errors.
- •Always specify the correct fund for accounting accuracy.
- •Verify the amount with the donor before finalizing the entry.
Troubleshooting
I entered the wrong amount. Can I fix it?
Yes, you can edit any donation by clicking on it in the list. However, the receipt number will remain the same.
How do I record an in-kind (non-cash) donation?
MasjidFlow currently focuses on financial contributions. For items like food or equipment, we recommend recording them in the "Notes" section of a zero-amount entry if needed, or tracking them manually.
