Managing the Muqtadi Directory

How to organize your community members and households.

Overview

The Muqtadi module is your mosque's digital community directory. It allows you to organize members into households, making it easier to track donations, provide support, and communicate with your community.

Add vs. Invite Households

When bringing new households into MasjidFlow, you have two options depending on your preference:

• Add (Manual Entry): Use this when you, as the administrator, want to directly create a household record. You will enter their name, phone number, and dependents yourself. This is best for members who are not tech-savvy or when migrating old records.
  
  Note: A person added manually does not automatically receive login access. If that person needs to log in or use the app, the administrator must select the added member and use the Generate Login Link action to provide them with a secure sign-in link.
• Invite (Self-Service): Use this to generate a secure link that you can share via WhatsApp or SMS. The member clicks the link and fills out their own details. They will complete the existing registration process, automatically creating their household record in MasjidFlow and gaining login access.

Monthly Dues Generation

MasjidFlow automates the collection of monthly dues. However, before any dues can be collected, you must configure the system.

1. Configure Salary Settings: The system needs to know how much to charge. Go to Settings → Salary to configure whether you charge a fixed amount per household, a per-person rate, or a custom amount.
2. Generate Monthly Dues: Once configured, go to Contributions → Generate Monthly Dues. Click "Generate Dues" for the current month.

What happens when dues are generated? The system automatically calculates the required contribution for every verified household and adds it to their outstanding balance. You can then begin recording their payments.

Time Saving & Transparency: This automated process saves hours of administrative time compared to manually recreating monthly dues for hundreds of households. Furthermore, recording dues and payments through MasjidFlow significantly improves transparency, ensuring that both administrators and members have a clear, accurate view of financial contributions and balances.

Household Management

Grouping members into households is critical for tracking family-level contributions. You can designate a "Head of Household" to represent the family in official records.

Best Practices

• Keep contact numbers updated to ensure receipts can be sent correctly.
• Use the "Status" field to track active vs. moved members.
• Encourage members to download the Muqtadi App to view their own contribution history.
