How to Create and Manage Funds

Learn how to organize your mosque finances using multiple funds.

What are Funds?

Funds are the primary way to categorize your income and expenses in MasjidFlow. Instead of one giant pool of money, you can track balances for specific purposes like the General Fund, Construction, Zakat, or Orphans.

Creating a Fund

  1. Navigate to Funds: Open your dashboard and click on "Funds" in the sidebar.
  2. Add New Fund: Click the "Create Fund" button.
  3. Fund Details: Provide a name (e.g., "Construction Fund") and an optional description.
  4. Initial Balance: If you already have money in this fund, you can record an initial balance via a manual donation entry.

Best Practices

  • Keep fund names clear and descriptive.
  • Use a "General Fund" for daily operational expenses (electricity, water, minor repairs).
  • Create separate funds for restricted donations like Zakat or Sadqah-e-Jariyah.
